Photo of the Month - November 1998

This months picture caught my eye because I had recently found a similar photo from when I did my leader training. All Scout Leaders have to undertake training to help them do their jobs better and this photo shows how seriously this side of Scouting is taken.

Does anybody know why the Scout leader of the 7th Hayward Heath Air Scouts is called "Thumper"? If you do please write in and tell us.

Thumper, or Robin as he is also known, was clearing away the dust in the storeroom at his Scout Headquarters when he came across this photo.

We thought it might bring back some memories for some people.
