Website Awards
Competition Rules & Conditions
- ScoutNet UK reserve the right to withdraw any of the
awards if they feel that the site has changed in such a
way as to disqualify it from the award.
- All entrants must give ScoutNet UK permission to use the
entrants copyright graphics on the ScoutNet UK web site
for the purpose of linking to the entrants website and
for ScoutNet to make a local copy on our web server for
this purpose.
- All entrants must give ScoutNet UK permission to quote
and link selectively from the entrants web site for the
purpose of writing a review.
- ScoutNet UK reserve the right to change the rules without
notice.
- No prizes of any kind, other than kudos and permission to
disport a special ScoutNet UK web graphic on the winners
web site, are on offer.
- The images for the ScoutNet UK Web Site of the Month
competition, Recommended, Highly Recommended and International awards are our copyright and may not be used
without permission. Permission to use these graphics may
be withdrawn at anytime without notice and without any
reason being given.
- All sites entering for an award must be in English or a
close approximation thereto. Sites applying for the
International Award must, if their main language is not
English, have at least half of their pages also
available in English.
Competition Rules & Conditions (English Version)
- Things change.
- Can we use one of your graphics please?
- Can we quote from your pages too please?
- Yes we are making this up as we go along!
- The competition is just for fun.
- Please don't rip us off or give the awards a bad name by
misusing our graphics that I slaved late into the night
to create.
- If we can't read it, we can't judge it.
Resubmission of Websites
- You are welcome to resubmit your website for a new award if you feel you have made significant changes to design, layout or content. That is, please don't resubmit a site every time you add a new article to it.
- If you already have a ScoutNet UK award, you are entitled to display the graphic which we gave to you at the time. Because of the changes in categories you should not replace the old graphics with the new ones without being given a new award.
- However, please don't resubmit your site just because you want the new graphic. There should have been significant changes since the last time we saw your site. Such resubmissions mean our judges don't have enough time to consider sites which really deserve awards, or first-time submissions. ScoutNet UK's judging team thanks you for your assistance.
